The Village Hall

THE VILLAGE HALL

A community facility available to all

In the heart of the conservation area of Hampton Lucy village lies The Village Hall. It is an attractive historic building which is available to anyone in the community for parties, celebrations, group activities and entertainment.

In addition to being available for private hire The Village Hall hosts a number of community activities including a plant sale, a skittles night and the Village Christmas drinks.

Community groups such as the Women’s Institute, The Parish Council and the PCC host their meetings in the hall and members of the community run keep fit classes and other activities such as Tai Chi, dance classes and film nights have been successfully promoted in the hall.

Currently the Village Hall Management Committee is in the process of setting up a new Youth Club, which it is hoped, will meet fortnightly.

The Hall is currently supported by its owners, The John Lucy Trust and The Parish Council, The Parochial Church Council and by fund-raising events organised and promoted by the Village Hall Management Committee. These events include the Annual Plant Sale in May and the Jazz Picnic on the Parish Field in July. Village residents, their friends and visitors are all very welcome at these events and their financial support is gratefully appreciated.

If you wish to hire the village hall this can be done for as little £10 by contacting Phil Heron at the Boars Head on 01789 840533 or visiting the pub in person where any of the staff can assist with a booking. Phil is also a member of the Village Hall Management Committee and can put you in touch with the relevant committee member should you wish to help with the Plant Sale or Jazz Picnic or indeed if you have your own project you would like to promote in the Hall.

We all look forward to welcoming you at these village events and to sharing our village hall with you.
